There are several ways that you as a parent or carer can contribute to the Primary Review. Whatever you decide to do, the result needs to reach us, by post or electronically, as a submission. Here are some possibilities:

• Submit evidence individually.
• Discuss the issues with other parents and put together a joint submission
• Involve your children in the process and make a family submission.
• Approach your school’s teachers, PTA and/or governing body and encourage them to get involved.

What are the big issues covered by the Primary Review?

The Review has a very wide focus because it’s looking not just at what goes on in schools but also at childhood and at those changes in society and the wider world which have implications for primary education.

How can I and/or my children become involved?

There are several ways that you as a parent or carer can contribute to the Primary Review. Here are some of them:

• Write something yourself, individually, and send it to us by post or email.
• Discuss the issues with other local parents/carers/friends and prepare a joint submission.
• Talk to your child and other family members, and make a family submission.
• Talk to your child's school or PTA about encouraging a full discussion, or ask them to co-ordinate the task of collecting parents' and carers' views.

You can send your ideas and evidence to us by post or email.  But whatever you choose to do, it will help if you use this website to find out more about the Review first.

Let’s hear from you, and from your children. You don’t need to cover all ten themes – that would be a mammoth task. Select just the themes and questions that particularly interest or concern you. Note that among them are two themes on which your views will be particularly welcome:  Theme 7 - Parenting, Caring and Educating, and  Theme 8 - Beyond the School. Both are concerned with children’s lives outside school and how they relate to their education.  There may also be important issues that we haven't included: we want to hear about them, too.
